The role
The Shopify Developer will be mainly responsible for supporting e-commerce operations daily from a technical perspective, including the e-commerce platform itself, features, and integrations across the growing e-commerce landscape globally.
Working closely with the senior digital manager and the E-commerce delivery manager to support the daily operations for the e-commerce team, you will be involved in feature implementation, performance improvement, problem solving and project delivery from a technical perspective together with different teams both internally and externally.
The position will be responsible for:
• Work closely with the senior digital manager and the E-commerce delivery manager to support the e-commerce and e-commerce related integration daily operations from a technical perspective.
• Work closely with the E-commerce delivery manager to work on the business requirements for the e-commerce platform.
• Work closely with both internal team and external team on a various range of e-commerce related projects.
• Deliver well-structured, well-designed, and well-formatted code, aiming for easy to read, reuse, maintain and accessible.
• Be available and capable of switching between a various range of projects if needed.
• Be available for technical troubleshooting and debugging.
• Be available to provide technical support.
Skills & Attributes
• Proven programming experience in Shopify, including Shopify Checkout extensibility, custom APPs, Shopify Functions.
• Proven experience in using Liquid files.
• Proven experience in using Ruby, React, Vue, jQuery, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, SQL, etc.
• Proven experience in using APIs and Webhooks.
• Proven experience in GTM, GA4, pixel tracking and dataLayer push events.
• Proven experience in Azure, C#, .NET as a BONUS.
• Experience with cookie consent management tools like: Cookiebot, OneTrust, or Consentmo (Shopify app)
• Experience with accessibility, GDPR and ADA.
• Understanding of current UX/UI trends and best practices, replicate designs provided in Figma.
• Knowledge of SDLC for platform development, testing principles, project methodologies and practices.
• Able to work independently as part of a globally distributed team, proactively requesting assistance, advice, and input from colleagues as needed.
• Must have a can-do attitude and fast learning capability.
• Must be a team player across different regions.
• At least a bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field.
Key Measures
To be determined based on different marketplace projects, and other duties and special projects within skill and competency level as required, and KPIs are subject to change per project upon review by Line Manager.
