Your Opportunity:
As our People & Talent Advisor, you’ll play a key role in shaping the team member experience across our Retail and Support Centre teams. You’ll be the go-to for all things people-related—offering trusted guidance, interpreting policy with clarity, and supporting leaders and team members through a wide range of HR and employee relations matters.
What you'll be doing:
- Provide advice and support to leaders and team members on HR policies, employee matters, and workplace issues.
- Manage employee relations cases, including investigations and reporting.
- Ensure our practices comply with employment laws and immigration requirements.
- Handle core HR processes like parental leave, abandonment of employment, and other key HR matters.
- Respond to queries through our HR inbox, offering timely and professional support.
- Partner with managers to resolve people issues and support performance conversations.
- Guide and support our People & Talent Coordinators to build consistency and capability.
- Help deliver onboarding and create a positive experience for our new starters.
- Assist with people initiatives including performance reviews, engagement surveys, and learning programs.
- Contribute to HR projects and collaborate with key stakeholders across Lovisa.
- Represent and role-model Lovisa’s culture and values in everything you do.
We are looking for the below skillset and experience:
- 3–5 years’ experience in a HR Coordinator or Advisor role
- Relevant degree or diploma in HR, Psychology, or Business
- Strong understanding of employment law, including the Fair Work Act. (bonus on Retail Award knowledge but not mandatory)
- Proven ability to manage ER cases and handle sensitive matters
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence and build strong relationships
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working with HR systems and interpreting HR data
- A solutions-focused mindset with strong time management skills
