About the Role
As the APAC People & Talent Manager, you will oversee and manage the day-to-day delivery of People operations across the business while partnering closely with senior leaders to support workforce planning, performance, engagement and team effectiveness.
This is not a role for someone who wants to sit on the sidelines. You will be hands-on, visible and trusted by the business, providing practical HR advice, managing complex employee matters, leading operational improvements, and ensuring our people processes are consistent, compliant and commercially aligned.
You will also lead a small team, supporting their development while ensuring the People Function delivers with pace, quality and accountability.
What You’ll Be Doing
HR Operations & Compliance
Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
Ensure compliance with employment legislation across all regions.
Oversee HR administration, including contracts, onboarding, offboarding, and reporting.
Maintain HR systems, employee records, and process efficiencies.
Employee Relations & Performance
Act as a trusted HR advisor to managers and employees.
Manage employee relations matters, investigations, and case documentation.
Support leaders with performance management and coaching.
Ensure employee concerns are addressed in a timely manner.
Talent & Workforce Planning
Partner with leaders on workforce planning and organisational design.
Lead engagement, retention, and people-focused initiatives.
Support global stakeholders to align people strategies with business goals.
Coordinate immigration and relocation processes as required.
Learning & Development
Coach managers on people management and HR practices.
Facilitate training on performance, leadership, and workplace matters.
Support talent development and capability-building programs.
Culture & Engagement
Champion a positive, high-performing workplace culture.
Lead employee engagement initiatives and HR events.
Support diversity, equity, and inclusion programs across the business.

About You
You are an experienced People leader who is confident, resilient and comfortable operating in a fast-paced retail environment. You know how to balance commercial priorities with a fair, people-focused approach. You can influence senior stakeholders, coach managers through complex situations, and bring structure and consistency to a growing business.
To Be Successful, You Will Bring
5–7 years’ experience in an HR Management, HR Operations or People leadership role.
Strong experience managing employee relations matters, investigations, workplace complaints and performance issues.
Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation, including the Fair Work Act and Retail Award.
Experience supporting retail, multi-site or fast-paced operational environments.
Strong understanding of HR operations, HR administration, onboarding, offboarding, reporting and HRIS systems.
The ability to analyse HR data, identify trends and recommend practical, commercially aligned solutions.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence, challenge and coach leaders.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities without losing attention to detail.
A high level of confidentiality, professionalism and judgement.
