Your Lovisa Opportunity:

The Finance Graduate role is part of Lovisa’s structured Finance Graduate Development Program, designed to support recent graduates as they transition from university into the professional workplace and develop into well rounded finance professionals.

Over an 18–24 month program, the Finance Graduate will gain hands on experience across key finance functions, receive mentorship and coaching from senior leaders and peers, participate in technical and soft skills development, and contribute to meaningful finance work and projects across the business.

Rotational Finance Assignments

• Complete rotational assignments across Banking and Treasury, Accounts Payable, Occupancy Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Retail and Online Accounting, Financial Accounting and Statutory Accounting, Taxation and Audit.

• Support daily and monthly banking functions, bank reconciliations, loss prevention reporting, cash management and related banking activities.

• Support procure to pay processes, supplier reconciliations, expense reimbursements, invoice coding, approvals, payment runs and internal controls.

• Support property accounting activities including invoice management, accruals, prepayments, ProLease processing, month end close, balance sheet reconciliations, landlord and internal stakeholder engagement, and participation in AASB16 reporting.

• Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and management accounting month end reporting.

• Assist with retail and ecommerce financial analysis including weekly sales and wage reporting, sales and wage forecasting, store bonus calculations, month end reviews, financial modelling and scenario analysis.

• Support financial accounting and risk activities including fixed asset maintenance, depreciation journals and reconciliations, GST/VAT returns and journals, payroll journals and reconciliations, audits, risk assessments, compliance checks and internal controls.

• Support statutory accounting, taxation and audit processes including tax compliance, reporting, financial statement preparation, intercompany processes and journals.

About you: 

• Recent graduate with a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field.

• Sound understanding of accounting principles and willingness to develop technical capability across multiple finance disciplines.

• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and ownership of assigned work.

• Ability to plan, organise and deliver work on time in a fast paced environment.

• Curious, proactive and willing to learn through hands on experience, feedback and coaching.

• Clear communication skills and ability to build relationships with finance and non finance stakeholders.

• Flexible, adaptable, inclusive and supportive team member who demonstrates Lovisa’s culture commitments.

• Interest in pursuing relevant professional certifications such as CA or CPA, where appropriate.
