Your Lovisa Opportunity:
The Graduate Accountant is an entry-level role within the Banking team, gaining hands-on experience across store banking, reconciliations, month-end accounting and APAC retail finance operations.
Working closely with the Banking Team Lead, the role supports accurate financial reporting while developing strong technical accounting skills, commercial awareness and stakeholder confidence, with a clear pathway toward an Assistant Accountant role.
Daily & Weekly Banking
Complete daily store banking reconciliations.
Follow up missed banking and outstanding items.
Prepare and investigate weekly cash variance reports.
Monitor petty cash and identify unusual transactions.
Upload bank statements into Oracle Fusion.
Complete weekly AP payment reconciliations.
Manage finance queries within agreed timeframes.
Support banking requirements for new store openings and closures.
Month-End Accounting & Reconciliations
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for assigned regions.
Prepare till difference journals and investigate variances.
Complete cash-in-transit and clearing reconciliations.
Reconcile gift voucher liabilities and other banking balances.
Prepare accurate journals with supporting documentation.
Investigate and resolve unreconciled items.
Support month-end and year-end close.
Reporting, Analysis & Controls
Support sales, banking and cash reporting.
Identify trends, recurring issues and control gaps.
Prepare variance analysis and escalate key issues.
Maintain accurate, audit-ready documentation.
Support internal and external audit requests.
Follow finance policies, approvals and internal controls.
About you:
Recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
Sound understanding of core accounting principles, including profit and loss, balance sheet, journals and reconciliations.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
Experience with Microsoft Office products.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy and ownership of assigned work.
Ability to plan, organise and deliver work on time in a fast-paced environment.
Curious, proactive and willing to learn through hands-on experience, feedback and coaching.
Analytical approach to investigating differences and resolving issues.
Friendly, approachable and willing to support peers across the wider team.
